About Your Flight Instructor

I grew up loving the sounds, sights, and smells of aviation. Living across the street from my local General Aviation airport, I watched the airplanes come and go as I grew up in the small California city of Watsonville. (WVI)

In 1974 I Joined the Air Force. I told them I didn't care what I did as long as I got to fly. I became a "Loadmaster" on a C-141, flying out of Charleston S.C. For 4 years I traveled the world as the weight and Balance Specialist vowing one day to take my place in the front of the aircraft as Pilot in Command.

In 1980 after leaving the Air Force, I decided to take my dream to the next level and I soloed my first plane there at the Watsonville Airport. I went on to get my Private Pilot License while working full time.

Professional Flight Instructor

In 1997 I decided it was time to reach my life long goal, a career in the air. In a matter of less than a year, I took my dream to reality as a flight instructor Certified through the Federal Aviation Administration.

I work with the local clubs or in your personal aircraft here in San Diego. Clubs I am currently affiliated with are Golden Wings and Plus One Flyers. If you have not joined a club and you are looking for a club that will work best for you, contact me or that club for more information. Links to both clubs can be found in my links section.
